Segway Composites is now producing complete, high quality EPS/Epoxy Stand Up or Lay Down Paddleboards at a reasonable price, and they are built in the "USA" utilizing high quality materials and products...not pop-outs made off shore... Just something to consider.
The stock boards will come fin boxes only, for either a quad fin system or a 2+1 fin system, however you can order any fin configuration that best fits your requirements at an additional charge. If you are looking to design your own semi-custom paddleboard based on your design criteria or computer (AKU Shaper or Shape 3-D) design that you have provided, this too can be done, there will be an additional charge for this custom service. Boards are standard clear fiberglass over EPS foam, however for an additional charge, a limited list of colors (Red, Aqua Green, Blue, Gray, or Yellow) and some custom color work is available.
Stand Up Paddleboards
Standard construction of the boards is based on a 1.5 lb density EPS foam core, and laminated with two layers of 6 oz fiberglass on the bottom and three layers of 6 oz fiberglass on the deck. Laminations are done with Resin Research 2000 resin and hot coats are done with the 2020 resin to allow for minimum damage from paddle strikes. The boards are then finished sanded, and for an additional charge can be completed with a gloss finish
Sample price range for standard stock boards which does not include fins, deck pad, paddle, color pigments, or shipping. This is just a sample of board sizes. We can build boards up to 20 ft in length and up to 35 inches wide!
