The KOLSTOF surfboard was a great learning experience, but due to the high cost of the materials and labor, it was not feasible to keep these fine boards in production. The lessons learned however can be applied to other products and production methods.

In order to meet the needs of the advanced surfboard design criteria, we have produced over 60 different surfboard rocker templates from 6ft to 14 ft designed for surfboard blanks made from EPS foam. This number will be expanding in the next few weeks to include additional long board, Contour Stringer Blanks, paddlebord templates up to 20 ft. A full catalog of sizes and rocker measurements is expanding, and will continue to evolve into the foreseeable future. Some of these surfboard blanks, based on a Greg Loehr design, are available through Segway Composites in various foam densities, depending on the size, thickness, and length of the blank. Custom rocker templates blanks can be produced with minimum delay.

A variety of prototypes have been produced, and our development teamwork helps to provide improved production, quality and enhanced marketability. In order to support these design and development activities, tooling, molds, engineering, fabric laminates, core material, color and finishes are all designed to produce the highest quality end product. The processes include wet lay-ups, vacuum bagging and now expanding into the methods of Vacuum Infusion Process or VIP. We do everything "in house" , so going from concept to product isn't open to interpretation. The end product is what you and the design team envisioned.

With the ever changing and competitive market place, as well as customer demand, we have partnered with Warvel Foam to supply both for distribution and as part of our cutting and glassing service Polyurethane foam blanks. These are offered in both standard surfboard blanks as well as the advanced Greg Loher designed WMD (Warvel Multi-Density) foam blanks. As the market drives the demand, additional models will be available as the demand develops.
